CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

Who is it for

WHO IS CREATIVE GRIEF CERTIFICATION FOR?

Creative Grief Studio’s online training and Certification program is for you if you are:
    • Helping professionals and volunteers from many fields who encounter people experiencing grief and want continuing education in creative grief support (e.g., therapists, counselors, social workers, nurses, clergy, hospice staff and volunteers, funeral directors, death doulas, coaches, teachers, artists, art/music therapists, yoga and bodywork practitioners, spiritual directors, support group facilitators, etc.).

    • Those seeking expressive arts approaches and fresh, imaginative approaches to loss and bereavement beyond narrow or medicalized models of grief.

    • Practitioners who want to strengthen their grief support skills and knowledge of contemporary grief theory (including meaning making, narrative approaches, and continuing bonds) while building on their existing foundation of empathy, listening, and rapport building.

    • Professionals interested in creative grief coaching methods that are culturally respectful and socially aware, nurturing client agency, resilience, and creativity in the face of losses.

    • Those who know we all have personal grief experiences alongside our professional outreach, and so you have concurrent, personal grief support in place to guide you alongside the continuing education we are providing here at the Studio.

Our online grief practitioner certification is ideal for those who understand that creativity is not a supplemental tool but a central pathway for meaning making after loss. Whether you’re adding grief support training to your existing practice or building a specialized creative grief coaching practice, this program provides the theory, tools, and community support you need.

The class provides a foundation for an active and supportive global online learning community. The instructors are skilled, creative and professional in their facilitation, teaching, learner support and presentation of the course material. I found the prescribed literature, course notes and tools informative, practical and deeply empathetic in approach.

I have gone through a complete transformational change. I am not the same person before starting this program. I’m thinking I could have spent thousands of dollars with a professional therapist and still not achieve what I have personally and professionally achieved from this course. It was well worth the money I paid, in fact, I think it was “cheap” for what I gained.
